Distribution Center Hours and Location:

Warehouse Print Operator monitors the distribution center’s production environment and systems. Ensures that all processes complete successfully. Print all labels, invoices and reports on production printers. Monitors quality and assures on time delivery of paperwork. Performs first level diagnostics and resolution of warehouse issues and escalates issues when appropriate.

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with previous personal computer and peripheral experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
    • Knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, email and internet software applications.  
    • Must have knowledge of Windows 7.  
    • Must have knowledge of printer technologies and paper / label standards.
  • Must occasionally bend and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Essential Functions

  • Monitors all computer systems including WMS, RF, and CSM applications. Ensures systems operation and functionality in the warehouse and maintains knowledge of the supporting development group.
  • Monitors alarms in GFS’ Data Center. Responds to first level diagnostics and investigations of problem conditions. Escalates and notifies support personnel and vendors as required.
  • Reports and escalates warehouse outages, data center environmental issues and user problems. Conducts first level diagnostics and problem resolution where possible.
  • Record outages and problem issues in reporting software. Maintains communication and follows up with all involved parties during and after problems are resolved. Communicates all problems to the next shift manager.
  • Prints reports and special forms on a variety of printers. Monitors quality of output and makes needed adjustments for highest print quality possible.
  • Produce and deliver labels, invoices, and reports to meet warehouse production deadlines.
  • Maintains operations equipment to its maximum operating capabilities. Places service calls to appropriate vendor when needed and logs issues in problem reporting software.
  • Work with both developers and warehouse personnel to gain knowledge and further clarity of systems, procedures and schedules to ensure efficiency and to better serve the customer.
  • Follows and enforces all security policies to ensure integrity of operation. Contacts manager when conflicts and security is breached.
  • Utilizes time wisely, prioritizes projects, work schedules and utilizes company resources effectively.
  • Maintains procedural documentation and adds new documents as new hardware and software applications change.
