    Our Warehouse Receiving Clerks  maintains Gordon Food Service (GFS) warehouse receiving schedule for dry, frozen or
    perishable products

     

    Schedule:   Sunday - Thursday,  Start times varies between 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm or 10:00 pm

     

     

    Some responsibilites include:

     

    • Schedules vendor freight deliveries in accordance with warehouse capabilities and inventory
      need.
    • Assists the Administration department with the Product Reclamation Program.
    • Enters and balances purchase orders.
    • Enters various other data and records truck performance.
    • Completes housekeeping activities on a daily basis.
    • Adheres to the mission and cornerstone values and applicable practices of the organization.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

     

     

    Like any job, there are some requirements:

    • You must be  18 years of age or older (required)
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
    • May occasionally bend and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
    • Normal Office Environment within warehouse
    • And you'll hustle --- this is a fast paced, physically demanding environment requiring constant walking, going up/down stairs and platforms, and handling product.
    • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions).
    • Successfully  pass our  drug screen and  background check requirements (criminal background check, yes – we do not check your credit score)
    • Valid email so we can follow up with you and let you know what’s happening next in the process
    • Must be able to work  holidays and  overtime as required  -- holidays are very important to our restaurant customers!
